" The lodge was fantastic and we had a great time, the view from the decking is one of the best in the world. I will certainly recommend you to my freinds and we are interested in returning in the near future"

"Forget Bowness and Windermere turn right and go down Kirkstone pass towards Brother's water and Ulwater for walking & freedom without too many people before returning to accomodation above and beyond what you would normally expect at the lake district"

"We thought your lodge was lovely and was the perfect base for exploring what is one of our favourite parts of the world. We would definitely stay there again and would be happy to recommend both your lodge and indeed Limefitt itself to anyone. Even the weather didn't stop us having a great time"

"We had a wonderful holiday - peace, quiet, and beutiful scenery. The lodge is perfect"

"We had a great time. Lovely comfortable lodge. Ideal location - close enough to Bowness for evening meals. Tried all the local pubs, Excellent! Grizedale was brilliant, bike trials and ‘Go Ape’"

"Quiet, lovely site. Lodge immaculate, hope everyone that visits looks after it as much as we did. Visited Keswick - beautiful, Hawkshead – stunning. Beatrix potter was a big hit with everyone. We would love to return soon. The site is very safe for the children to play. Security walking around in the evening is very reassuring too."

"The lodge was superb, clean, tidy, plenty of towels. This was our first visit to the lakes and found the scenery breathtaking. Hawkshead and Grasmere well worth a visit. We also tackled Wrynose and Hard Knott pass. Looking forward to coming back very soon."

"The lodge is immaculate. Beautiful scenery & very peaceful site. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and would advise friends and family to come and visit. ‘Go Ape’ well worth a try in Grizedale forest."

"The lodge was ideal – clean with all the desired amenities – not to mention the beautiful scenery! Location gave us easy access throughout the lakes and we enjoyed visiting places such as Keswick, Hill top farm (Beatrix Potter), the aquarium via the boat as well as Bowness being a short drive away for shopping and evening meals. We had a lovely break which included our wedding anniversary, and look firward to coming back soon."

"A delightful lodge in a beautiful setting. A safe place for our grandchildren."

Beautiful lodge – well presented, made our stay very enjoyable although the Haybarn and shop were a let down with regard to opening times. Our stay on the whole was very pleasant. It’s probably our 10th visit to the lakes and it was great. Lake Ullswater,  rookin house farm – horse riding, grizedale, local walk and one of Kirkstone pass. Going into Ambleside is a must. On the whole we come away very happy from this lodge and hope to return again soon. 20th – 27 Oct 2007

A very enjoyable break  in a lovely lodge. Walked to the Mortal Man (with torch!) and had a lovely meal. Visited Bowness and Ambleside, Rydel water & caves and walked from the lodge through to Troutbeck via Jenkins Crag and into Ambleside; returned via Wansfell pike 1480feet of pure climbing – but fantastic views!. 29th Oct – 2nd Nov

Beautiful lodge that made our short break very comfortable. We walked from the site to the tongue and then back to troutbeck for lunch at the Mortal Man. Looking forward to more visits.
