Limefitt Park

Limefitt Park is a 5 star Park spectacularly situated in one of Lakeland's most beautiful valleys, capturing the very essence of the Lake District National Park - a friendly place of peace and tranquillity set amidst truly breath taking scenery.

With its spectacular and unspoilt surroundings, there's direct access to the Lakeland fells and  an abundance of walks and wildlife.

Limefitt features lakeland stone buildings, mature trees and traditional stone walls - which give way to steadily grazing sheep, as the valley rises steeply upwards to meet the peaks of the Yoke, Froswick and High Street which dominate the scene.

On Park facilities that surpass most national and international standards are a proud boast at Limefitt.

These are complimented by a fully equipped adventure playground where youngsters can delight in burning up surplus energy. With such spectacular and diverse terrain, Limefitt is a paradise not only for walkers and climbers but also for a whole host of outdoor activities.

The most important people at Limefitt are its customers - and nowhere more so than in the friendly onsite pub, where you are assured of a warm welcome. On offer are a superb range of meals and a selection of fine ales, meticulously kept and served for your enjoyment.  

 Limefit Park Onsite Facilities  

Wireless Internet Connection The park benefits from a free wireless internet connection which allows 24/7 internet access from the lodges. An internet terminal is located in the Haybarn (local payment required).
The Haybarn Lakeland Pub * Offers a range of meals and a selection of fine hand-pulled ales like Black Sheep, Coniston Bluebird and Cumberland Ale. The outdoor beer garden has fabulous views of the surrounding fells. For those who prefer to keep in touch with major sporting events there is a 50” plasma TV with SKY. For the kids there is a video games room, pool table and giant Jenga game.
The Family Lounge * The Family lounge is attached to the Haybarn pub. A wood burning fire and luxurious furniture make this a wonderful place to relax with a paper and a coffee during the day.
The Park Shop Located in reception, the Limefitt Park shop sells groceries, beers wines and spirits, newspapers, and a host of other items including freshly baked bread. The DVD rental library, with over 130 titles is a great hit with adults and children alike.
Limefitt Reception The office has a variety of tourist information and also sells postcards and stamps. You can leave post here for collection instead of having to find a post box outside the park. Private Parking for 2 cars is provided at your lodge, but additional Visitor Parking is available next to the office
The Adventure Playground This outdoor play area has a slide, swings, see-saw, sand pit, scramble net and a zip wire - in fact just about everything you need to keep young children entertained. You won't find an adventure playground set in more spectacular scenery anywhere!
The River Pool The River Pool is always a great hit with children of all ages. Normally slow flowing and waist-deep water turn this into a sort of open air swimming pool with overhanging rope swings. Please ensure that young children are properly supervised at all times in the vicinity of the river pool. At times of heavy rain the beck can flow very deep and very fast and at these times the pool is unsuitable for play activities.
The Recreational Field The park has ample open space and some of it is given over to a sports area where you can join in a game of football or play a few games of badminton/tennis whilst enjoying the amazing views.
Pony Trekking & Horse Rides Situated onsite, Lakeland Pony Trekking has direct access to the tracks and bridleways of the delightful Troutbeck Valley and magnificent high fells.(local payment required). See www.lakelandponytrekking.co.uk for futher details.
